Long-Distance Conveyer
Long distance conveyor’s history in Japan opened with Sakuma dam construction for which the owner of the dam - J-Power - employed arrays of machinery and mechanical equipment in post war days.
Nippon conveyor supplied them with 650tph long distance conveyor system for aggregate transport and it was for the first time in Japan to use long distance conveyor.
Advantages of long distance conveyor when compared with other means of transportation are
- Less malfunction and reliable operation.
- Low capital investment, low power costs, low maintenance costs and low labor costs.
- Belt conveyors neither pollute the air nor deafen the ears.
Invention of steel cord belt and tension distribution analysis using computer enabled optimum drive arrangement which led to realization of 14.1km-long single flight conveyor.
Recent technological development of horizontally curved conveyor contributes to increase of long distance horizontally curved conveyor application which can serve every client’s needs.
